ENTREPRENEUR 2021• CURRENT
STAY TRUE Stays • Remote
Stay True Stays is a mini beach retreat center in the Nicoya Peninsula (one of worlds 5 Blue Zones) of Costa Rica. Stay True Stays was built from scratch around the pursuit of value for not only our clients and ourselves but environmental and community positive impact. As such we feature energy efficient open space lofts, an ecological waste treatment system, responsible and efficient water consumption system as well as wildlife and environmentally friendly gardening and fencing solutions. Our retreat participants, regardless of their retreat core focus (surf, martial arts, adventure, self discovery) are taught to compost, reduce plastic consumption and recycle. We aim to be zero waste by 2030
• Conceptualized a space where human and nature can interact harmoniously.
• Worked with local architects to define the long term vision for the property and break it down into 4 prioritized construction stages then defined the requirements and budget for completing each stage.
• Hired and worked with local independent construction team to build to finalize stage 1 and 2. Sourced and negotiated construction materials with various vendors, paid independent contractors.
• Handled all administrative, permitting and insurance requirements.
• Created all retreat environmental education materials for retreat goers.

TicketEvolution is an event ticket marketplace that offers access to over $2 billion in live event tickets inventory. Professional Resellers have access to our inventory and to various features meant to help them transact in an informed, fast and secure manner. As a Product manager I focused on the following key areas:
• Introduced the Agile Scrum development framework to the larger organization and implemented this framework within the cross-functional team ecosystem. This implied including engineering in the early stages of design as well as maintaining transparency around what data informed which design decisions. It also involved extensive stakeholder communication to ensure that the process is well understood and the expected outcomes and projected timelines are clear.
• Defined/refined OKR's based on roadmap priorities, and prioritized the backlog weekly to maintain focus on OKR's
• Monitored the User Experience via analytics collection tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar
• Integrated usability studies, analytics research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction.
• De-risked new product features using qualitative/quantitative analytics and rapid prototyping so that by the time anything was committed to code we knew we had the right solutions to solve users problems.
• Created Product Requirement Documents to define goals, value propositions, success metrics, user stories and minimum requirements for various initiatives.
